ABOUT
Aaron Jordan is a multidisciplinary artist and film industry professional living and working on the unceded traditional territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations. His practice is informed by a lifelong connection to art, craft, architecture, and design that was nurtured by a family of artists and makers. After working in galleries and museums in Vancouver, he studied Fine Arts at Langara College before beginning a career in the film industry.
With over 30 years of industry experience, his range of experience spans across multiple areas of production, leading large teams of artists and craftspeople, nationally and internationally, to curate immersive environments for award-winning feature films and television.
As a Sculptor Coordinator, Aaron’s ability to lead large interdisciplinary teams has led to ambitious projects that utilize an ability to oversee extensive budgets, complex schedules, multiple fabrication processes, and specific material selection. His work has involved a wide range of materials, including foam, clay, wood, metal, silicones and plastics, and has encompassed everything from architectural elements and landscapes to vehicles, castings, and sculptural installations.
He currently works as an Art Director, where his responsibilities include supporting the production designer’s vision, coordinating design teams, managing timelines and budgets, and overseeing collaboration across multiple creative departments.
Alongside his film career, Aaron continues to develop his fine art practice and has pursued multiple public art opportunities over the years. His interests in architecture, design history, and contemporary visual culture continue to inform both his professional and personal work.
